Day 01: Delhi
You are welcomed by the tour representatives at the Delhi Airport and are transported to a hotel of your choice. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
You will go for a tour of Delhi on the 2nd day of the Rajasthan Desert Tour. . The places to visit in Delhi are the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, India Gate and Humayun’s Tomb. Red Fort is a magnificent structure in red sandstone with typical Mughal architecture, built by Shah Jahan, the Great Mughal Emperor. Raj Ghat is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In New Delhi, you will visit Qutub Minar which is a magnificent minaret, India Gate – a war memorial and Humayun’s Tomb. Qutub Minar was built by Qutub ud Din Aibak. India Gate is an imposing archway with names of the Induian Army soldiers, who laid their lives during the World War I. Humayun’s Tomb is a memorial of Emperor Humayun and it was built by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. All of these places are world heritage sites. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 03: Mandawa
On the third day of the Rajasthan Desert Tour, you travel to Mandawa early in the morning. Mandawa houses several forts and is also referred to as the city of Forts. After freshening up in the heritage hotel that you check in you go out to explore the tourist attractions of the city of Mandawa. The tourist attractions of Mandawa include the Mandawa Castle, Chokhani and Ladia Havelis, Sarafi Havelis and other Shekhawati Havelis. The city is a part of the Shekhawati sect. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 04: Bikaner
Today you drive to Bikaner, better known as the Camel City of Rajasthan. You will check in to a heritage hotel after you arrive and freshen up. Later, you go for a sightseeing tour of Lallgarh Palace – an exotic palace, the Fort Museum and the Camel Breeding Farm. Lallgarh Palace is an imposing palace in red sandstone, built by Maharaja Ganga Singhji. The Fort Museum has excellent collections of weapons, artworks and so on. The Camel Breeding Farm gives the visitors a valuable insight into the life of the ship of the desert. The camels traversing the distances around are a sight to watch. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 05: Jaisalmer
On the fifth day of Rajasthan Desert Tour, you drive to Jaisalmer. The town stands to be a perfect mix of the modern infrastructure and the traditional values. Jaisalmer is also called the “Golden city” due to extensive use of yellow sandstone in all of its major structures. After checking in you relax for a while and then set on a sight seeing tour of the Jaisalmer Fort. It is a magnificent structure in yellow sandstone, built by Raja Jaisal in 1156. Located on the top of Trikuta Hill it leaves the visitors spellbound by its sheer grandeur, 99 bastions and strong fortifications. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer
Today you join a Camel Safari to Badagarh. It is famous for the royal cenotaphs that are kept here in the memory of the former rulers of Jaisalmer. You also tour a typical Rajasthani village. Overnight stay is at the camel camp.
Day 07: Jaisalmer
On the seventh day of your Desert Tour of Rajasthan you go for a camel ride of the royal Havelis of Jaisalmer. The royal Havelis of Jaisalmer include the Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathumal ki Haveli in addition to many more. The city is located at the heart of the Thar Desert. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 08: Jaisalmer
You get to relax in the morning of the eighth day of your tour. Post lunch, you go for a guided tour of Manak Chowk. It is the Central market place of Jaisalmer. You can shop for local goods, items, handicrafts, jewelry, spices and fabrics at this colorful market. Later, you also get to visit the havelis of Jaisalmer. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 09: Jaisalmer
Today, you go for a tour of the famous Jain Temples of Jaisalmer. These places of worship are devoted to Sambhavnathji and the great Rishabdevji and have beautiful carvings and house a library called the Gyan Bhandar with ancient manuscripts. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 10: Jaisalmer
Early in the morning, you set out for a camel ride to a village located in the outskirts of the city of Jaisalmer. In the afternoon you eat a traditional Rajasthani meal at a local hut. Later explore the agricultural farms in the neighborhood. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 11 & 12: Jaisalmer
You get two days to relax and laze around on your Desert Tour of Rajasthan, North India.
Day 13: Jodhpur
You drive to Jodhpur and check into a heritage hotel. You get the rest of the day to relax. Jodhpur is also called the Sun City. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 14: Jodhpur
On the fourteenth day you go for a tour of the famous monuments of Rajasthan in Jodhpur including Jaswant Thada, a memorial that is made of white marble, Mehrangarh Fort, the fort that was built by Rao Jodha and some more tourist attractions. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 15: Jaipur
Today you drive to Jaipur. You get the day to relax. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 16: Jaipur
On the sixteenth day you go for a tour of Jaipur. Places you get to visit are Jantar Mantar – an observatory, City Palace Complex, Hawa Mahal – wind palace, and the Jaipur Royal Observatory. The complex around the City Palace is well-maintained and has courtyards, well-manicured gardens and wonderful temples. Hawa Mahal has windows with intricate jaali work and was exclusively for the royal women, so that they could watch the street proceedings while remaining veiled. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 17: Delhi
On the last day of your Rajasthan Desert Tour, you drive to Delhi. After relaxing in a hotel, you are driven to the Delhi airport.
