Gadsisar Lake
A visit to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan will throw up a good number of tourist attractions for you to explore. One of them is the Gadsisar Lake. This rain water lake was built by Maharawal Gadsi in the 14th century and served as the main source of water for the town during those days. Today, it serves as a popular visitor’s spot with locals and tourists showing up in good numbers.

There is a beautiful gateway that forms an arch across the road to the lake. Built by a royal courtesan named Tillon in the 19th century, this gateway is known as Tillon ki Pol. A statue of Lord Vishnu was also installed in 1908.
